AI data analysis tools: spreadsheets that write Python and SQL, natural-language database queries, notebook helpers, document readers that extract figures, and domain tools that turn photos into reports.
Data analysis tools in this category let you ask questions of data without writing every query by hand. Some sit on top of spreadsheets or databases and translate plain language into code. Some read reports and PDFs and pull out the figures. A few are built for one industry, such as insurance claims. The list also contains general language models and research tools that only touch analysis in passing.
A natural-language answer is only as good as the SQL or code behind it. Prefer tools that show the generated query, and check joins, filters and date ranges before you share a number. Run a question you already know the answer to as a first test.
