Brisk Teaching is an in-workflow AI assistant built for educators who spend their working hours inside Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. For teachers looking to streamline grading and resource creation directly inside Google Docs and browser-based tools, its free tier offers immediate utility. However, institutions across the Arab region must evaluate undocumented Arabic formatting before relying on it for daily instruction.

In-Workflow Creation and Feedback Tools

Unlike standalone AI portals, Brisk operates as a browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. It brings over 30 content creation tools directly into web pages, YouTube videos, and Google Docs, letting teachers generate lesson plans, quizzes, and short audio podcasts capped at 2 minutes on the free plan. Its help centre also details a prompt-based creation hub and an MCP connector linking Brisk tools directly to Claude and ChatGPT.

The platform shines most in student evaluation. Its Inspect Writing tool plays a video-style replay of student drafting in Google Docs, showing how long they spent editing and where text may have been pasted in. Teachers can also leave feedback in four structured feedback styles—Targeted, Glow and Grow, Rubric Criteria, and Next Steps—as comments in student documents without switching tabs.

For students there is Brisk Boost, a teacher-controlled workspace with 14 activity types; up to 150 students can join one activity.

Pricing Structure and Privacy Terms

Brisk offers a permanent free tier with over 20 core tools, and every new sign-up gets 14 days of Premium first, after which the account drops back to the free plan without charging you. The paid tiers are harder to judge: Brisk does not publish the price of its individual Educator Pro plan, and school and district plans are quoted per student. On privacy, Brisk holds a 95% Common Sense Privacy Rating, SOC 2 compliance since October 2025, and FERPA and COPPA compliance. It does not sell student data or store student essays, though teacher prompts containing student names are retained on its servers, and all fees are strictly non-refundable upon cancellation.

Arabic Language Support and Regional Fit

Brisk is well-matched for international and bilingual schools across the Arab region that run on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Nevertheless, regional support remains unverified. While Brisk advertises translation across 50+ languages, it does not publish an official language list, and an API search of its help center for Arabic returned zero results. Furthermore, Right-to-Left (RTL) text rendering inside Google Docs and Slides is completely undocumented, and its Egyptian Arabic marketing page appears machine-translated.

A 5-minute Arabic test: Install the free extension, open an Arabic draft in Google Docs, and run the feedback or Change Level tool. Check whether the output preserves correct RTL text direction, maintains coherent Modern Standard Arabic grammar, and avoids reversed punctuation.

Who Should Skip Brisk and Alternatives

Teachers who rely on smartphones or tablets should look elsewhere, as Brisk extensions are completely unsupported on mobile browsers. Educators who prefer an independent web platform rather than a browser add-on should consider MagicSchool, while instructors who prioritize specialized reading passage differentiation across grade levels can evaluate Diffit.
