IFTTTIn short, “If This Then That.”It’s a web platform and a mobile application that allows you to create “small applications” called Applets. To link different applications, services and devices to each other.
Using IFTTT, you can automate tasks and deliver applications and services that usually work separately, providing you time and effort.
How does IFTTT work?
Each Applet consists of two main parts:
- Clause If: It’s an event or a position that launches Applet.
- Action (Then): It is the procedure being implemented in response to the requirement.
For example, you can create an applet that automatically publishes a photo on Twitter whenever you carry a new picture on Instagram. In this case, the condition is “loading a new photo on Instagram” and the procedure is “publishing the image on Twitter.”
What can you do with IFTTT?
There are countless possibilities for what you can do with IFTTT. Here are some examples:
- Domestic tasks completed: You can run lights at sunset, run air conditioner at temperature altitude, or automatically close the front door when you leave the house.
- Follow your health: You can spontaneously record your steps from applying fitness to a schedule, or receive an alert when the blood sugar level is high.
- Organization of your life: You can automatically create lists of tasks from e-mails, or add events to your social media calendar.
- Access to news and data: You can take air alerts on your phone, or receive news from your favorite websites.
- Control of your smart house: You can run smart devices in your house, like lamps, cemeteries and appliances, using your voice or through other applications.
IFTTT is free for use, with a paid plan providing additional advantages.
