https://katteb.com/Katteb is no longer a writing tool. The Arabic-first platform that many people knew as an AI article writer has moved that editor to a “legacy” corner and now sells AI agents that open a real browser on its servers, sign in to your accounts and do the work for you. Our verdict: the idea is genuinely useful for online sellers and anyone chasing leads, especially merchants on the Gulf platforms Salla and Zid, but handing an agent the keys to your accounts deserves caution, and Katteb itself says so.
Tasks end, goals keep going
Katteb splits work in two. A task runs once, on demand or on a schedule: pull last week’s Shopify sales into a Google Sheet, for example. A goal, the newer feature, is a single sentence with an outcome, a number and a deadline, such as “book 15 sales calls in 30 days”. You pick 14, 30, 60, 90 or 180 days. The agent researches your market first, then writes a plan with dated milestones and up to three repeating workflows, which you can edit before pressing Start. Writing the plan is free.
Tired of juggling ten tabs? ToolSuite bundles the AI workflow tools power users rely on — in one place.
Try ToolSuite NowOnce running, the agent works every day, remembers what worked and what failed, and sends a report at 8am in your time zone by email or Telegram: what it did, what it learned, what is blocking it and what it needs from you. Katteb says progress numbers are read from your own tools rather than estimated, that nobody is contacted twice, and that outreach stays under a daily sending limit. It is also refreshingly blunt about results: it promises no outcome, and the final report states plainly whether the goal was reached.
Built for Arabic-speaking merchants
The agent library has ready-made pages for Salla and Zid alongside Shopify, WordPress, Google Ads and LinkedIn, which is rare among agent products. The Salla agent summarises today’s orders and their value, flags late or unpaid ones, lists products that are out of stock or under five units, and collects new reviews and customer questions, with screenshots of every page it visited. The whole interface is available in Arabic, the 100-goal library reads like it was written in Arabic rather than translated, and the explainer video is narrated in Modern Standard Arabic.
Pricing, from Katteb’s own page
| Plan | Per month | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | A chat assistant that searches the web; no agents |
| Lite | $19 | 1 agent on one goal, up to 30 hours of agent time a week, 1 user |
| Business | $99 | 10 agents, 120 hours a week, 5 running at once, landing pages with lead forms, Google Meet booking, 3 users |
| Enterprise | From $1,000 | Unlimited agents and a white-label dashboard |
Paying yearly gets two months free. Chat, images and video are “unlimited within fair use”; what is actually metered is agent time. Under the fair usage policy (last updated 4 October 2026), Lite allows up to 90 minutes in any three hours and Business up to 300 minutes in any seven. Runs that fail on Katteb’s side are not counted. Credits bought for the old Katteb Writer stay at app.katteb.com and do not carry over.
Before you subscribe
- Your accounts are on the line. The agent acts as you inside LinkedIn, your store and your ad accounts. Katteb warns that automated activity can put a third-party account at risk and asks you to confirm each run. Start with read-only tasks or a secondary account.
- You don’t choose the model. Katteb routes each step to a model it picks, and does not say which one writes your messages.
- A quick test: ask the free assistant, in Arabic, to research your competitors in your city, and check its sources against what you know of your market. If that convinces you, give Lite one month on a small, measurable goal.
If you want a general research-and-task agent without connecting your accounts, compare Manus and Genspark. If your shop runs on Salla or Zid, Katteb is one of the few agents designed with you in mind.
