https://mapify.so/Mapify is a summarizer that hands you a mind map instead of paragraphs. Feed it a PDF, a YouTube link, a web page or a meeting recording, and it returns a tree of main ideas and branches that you can edit, expand and export. Our verdict: it is one of the more useful study and speed-reading tools for visual thinkers, and its pricing is low next to rivals. The free plan is only a taster, though, and how it handles non-Latin, right-to-left content is something to test before you rely on it.
From source to map
Mapify accepts PDFs and documents, YouTube videos and their transcripts, web pages, pasted long text, audio such as podcasts and meeting recordings, and images like charts or photographed notes. The company says it runs on GPT, Gemini and other models. Once a map exists you can expand any branch in one click, present it as slides, or export it as an image, PDF, Markdown or SVG. On Pro, timestamps link each branch back to the moment in the video or recording it came from, which is genuinely handy for reviewing lectures.
Tired of juggling ten tabs? ToolSuite bundles the AI workflow tools power users rely on — in one place.
Try ToolSuite NowThis year Mapify added Mapify Chat for editing, expanding, translating and reorganizing a map in conversation, and since May 2026 it has also been available as an app inside ChatGPT. An “Ask Anything” mode searches the web and cites sources, and Deep Research sits on the higher plans. It runs on the web, iOS, Android and as a Chrome extension.
Pricing: the free plan is a sample
The free plan gives you 30 credits once, plus a cap of five documents and five videos. That is enough to see whether the idea suits you, not to use it. Billed yearly, Basic is $5.99 a month with 1,000 credits, Pro is $11.99 with 2,000 credits plus audio, image input and Deep Research, and Unlimited is $17.99 with no credit cap. The page presents these as 40% off monthly billing, and unused credits do not roll over. Students and educators get 30% off. The pricing page also carries a banner line that matches none of the plans, so read the plan details carefully before paying.
For Arabic speakers and other right-to-left users
Mapify has an Arabic landing page and says it can translate and summarize documents in more than 30 languages, but it does not name Arabic in any support list. The Arabic page itself is served left-to-right and its headline reads like a machine translation. If you work with Arabic material, upload an Arabic PDF with tables and numbers and check whether branches lay out right-to-left and mixed Arabic-English text stays readable. For YouTube, map quality depends on the transcript, so dialect-heavy videos are the real test.
Who it suits
Students, researchers and anyone who works through long lectures or reports every day. If you want to turn ideas into presentation visuals, Napkin AI may fit better; if you mainly want to question your sources, try NotebookLM. Mapify’s privacy policy does not say whether your content is used for model training, so keep confidential documents out of it.
