Verdict: Notta suits busy professionals and cross-functional teams who want automated transcription and meeting notes across platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex, particularly those who benefit from bot-free local desktop recording or file uploads. However, organizations seeking an Arabic-first interface, verified Arabic AI summaries, or a functional free tier should look elsewhere or run strict pilot tests before subscribing.

Arabic Transcription Supported, but AI Output Remains Unconfirmed

Notta lists Arabic among its 58 supported transcription languages, and the vendor maintains an Arabic landing page. However, the FAQ on that very Arabic page says Notta currently generates content in English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, German “and more”, without naming Arabic. So Arabic summaries and action items are possible but not promised. Furthermore, the platform provides no documentation regarding its handling of regional dialects such as Egyptian, Gulf, Levantine, or Maghrebi, and the web or mobile app interface is not confirmed in Arabic. The vendor advertises a high accuracy figure; we do not repeat it, because no neutral Arabic benchmark backs it.

Because performance across spoken dialects is unverified, prospective Arabic-speaking users should use the free plan to conduct a concrete test before committing funds. Record or upload a short 3-minute conversation in your everyday dialect. Check whether the resulting transcript accurately captures regional vocabulary and slang, and verify whether the AI note generator outputs a coherent summary in Arabic or defaults to English.

The Free Plan Operates as a Trial, Not a Working Tool

While marketed as a free tier, Notta’s $0 package cannot serve as a reliable daily transcription assistant. The free plan allocates 120 transcription minutes and 50 file uploads per month, but imposes an aggressive 3-minute limit per conversation. Crucially, free users can only view the first 3 minutes of any transcript. Because standard business meetings and client discussions run significantly longer than three minutes, this restriction renders the free tier an evaluation trial rather than an ongoing tool. Unused transcription minutes do not carry over between months.

Meeting Capture, Bot-Free Recording, and Translation Costs

For paying subscribers, Notta captures audio either by dispatching a bot to join online meetings or through bot-free local capture using Notta Desktop on Mac and Windows. Users can also record screens, upload audio or video files, import YouTube links, and draft follow-up emails or Slack messages. AI notes pull out summaries and action items, you can ask questions across all your meetings, and a document builder turns a call into PDF, Word, Excel or slides. These run on “Notta Brain” credits: every plan includes 1,000 a month, and an add-on adds 8,000 a month for $93.59 a year. Developers get an MCP server and CLI to feed meeting context to their own AI agents. Integrations extend to Slack, Notion, Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Calendar, Outlook and Google Drive. Notta says it holds SOC 2 and ISO 27001 and complies with GDPR and HIPAA.

Pro lists transcript translation, but the pricing page also sells translation add-ons for Pro and Business users, so heavy translation use costs extra. Monolingual translation costs an extra $6 per month billed annually ($72 per year) or $10 monthly. Bilingual transcription and translation, which processes two languages at once, costs $9 per month billed annually ($108 per year) or $15 monthly.

Comparing Free, Pro, and Business Tiers

All subscription prices reflect annual billing, which includes a 40% discount according to the vendor’s pricing page. Monthly billing rates for base tiers were not confirmed on live pages. Transcription minutes do not roll over.
