Introduction When a single AI model can transform a simple text sentence into a complete video…
AI video generators that build clips from text, images or existing footage: cinematic scenes, talking-head videos, character animation and short social clips cut from longer recordings.
These tools create video from material that is not yet video: a prompt, a still image, a script or a long recording that needs cutting down. They differ in clip length and resolution, in how much control you get over camera movement, and in whether characters stay consistent from one shot to the next. Each generation takes time, so test one scene from your actual project rather than judging a tool by its showcase reel.
For commercial work, ask what the model was trained on and what the terms say about using output in paid campaigns; that is why licensed training data is worth looking for. Animating real people's faces raises consent questions, so only use photos of people who have agreed.
To edit footage you already shot, see Video. A wider selection is on AI Tools for Creating Videos.
